Construction

Build practical skills for real working environments

Our Construction pathway gives learners the opportunity to develop practical trade skills in a realistic working environment. Students can access a range of construction routes including joinery, brickwork, roofing and plastering, allowing them to gain experience across different areas of the construction industry.

Learners develop technical skills, safe working practices, confidence with tools and materials, teamwork, resilience and problem-solving. The course supports students to understand workplace expectations, health and safety, project completion and pride in high-quality practical work.

Construction qualifications generally run from Entry Level 3 through to Level 2, depending on the learner’s starting point, ability and progression route. Courses usually run across the academic year, with opportunities for learners to build skills over time and work towards further study, apprenticeships or employment in the construction sector.
